The Cincinnati Reds selected Texas A&M pitcher Christian Roa with the 48th overall pick in the second round in the 2020 MLB draft on Thursday. Alongside Asa Lacy, who went fourth overall to the Royals, the Aggies had a nasty one-two punch in their rotation before the season was canceled. He has a mid-90s fastball, and all three of his secondary pitches have been solid as well. Roa averaged 2.0 walks per nine innings in his college career until he allowed eight walks in nine innings in his final two starts this year. The 21-year-old will need to do a better job of commanding the baseball, but he uses his strong 6-foot-4 frame and overhand delivery to create a tough downhill angle.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
