A.J. Green Open To Contract Extension
A.J. Green (ankle) put the brakes on contract-extension talks when he was injured, but he is talking with the team again. Green said that he want to remain in Cincinnati in the long term and doesn't want to receive the franchise tag. The 31-year-old wideout opened his career with five straight 1,000-yard seasons, but he's been injured three of the last four years and hasn't made his season debut yet in 2019. That figures to come after the Week 9 bye, but now he'll be taking passes from rookie Ryan Finley after the team has decided to bench the struggling Andy Dalton. Green will be the team's top wideout when he returns, but his upside will now be limited with an inexperienced signal-caller throwing him the ball.
