Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Jake Bean will make his NHL debut on Tuesday night against the Montreal Canadiens. Bean was the 13th-overall pick back in 2016 and will start on the third pairing with Trevor van Riemsdyk. The 20-year-old has had a solid start to his first AHL season with the Charlotte Checkers. Bean posted three goals and eight assists through 21 games. The former WHL standout is an offensive rearguard with strong puck-moving tendencies. If all goes well, he could slide onto the second power-play unit in the near future. Bean is someone to monitor in season-long formats.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
