Boston Bruins forward David Backes registered his first tally of the season and added an assist in his team's 3-2 defeat of the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday. It was a long-time coming for the 34-year-old as he had gone his first 17 games of the season without a goal (and just one assist). Backes doesn't have as much fantasy value as he did when he was in St. Louis but the former captain could elevate his game with Bruins center Patrice Bergeron sidelined for at least the next three weeks. With that said, we'll need to see more consistent production before we recommend adding him even for a stream at this point. Backes will look to light the red lamp again when the Bruins face the Maple Leafs on Monday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
