Eduardo Escobar’s First Slump In June Continues Wednesday
Eduardo Escobar is suddenly slumping after Wednesday’s loss to the Chicago White Sox. One of the few bright spots on the Twins this season, Escobar went 0-for-4 with a strikeout on Wednesday. He has now gone just 2-for-18 in the last seven days for a feeble batting average of just .111. With that said though, his total average in June is still a sterling .349. Fantasy owners will have to hope this is just a brief blip on Escobar’s radar. The larger problem appears to be Minnesota’s offense as a whole. The team has averaged little more than two runs in their last six games. Twins hitters — even formerly safe options like Escobar and Eddie Rosario — should be examined closely before starting in daily leagues.
