Tampa Bay Rays first baseman C.J. Cron hit a home run Monday versus Detroit. It broke up a scoreless tie in the ninth inning. It was his seventh HR of the season and moved his RBI total to 19. Cron has tempting power, as he has hit 16 home runs in each of the past three seasons while not playing more than 116 games. He is currently batting .269, which is not as harmful as many late-round power options. Also worth noting is that he accumulated most of his 2017 stats and fantasy value in the second half of last season. He is not a shallow league standout but he definitely has value in deeper leagues.--Jamie Mellor
