The Houston Texans selected Central Florida tight end Jordan Akins with the No. 98 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft on Friday. Akins will be a 26-year-old rookie after playing in the minor leagues for the Rangers for four seasons. He played tight end in his final two seasons in college and lacks blocking skills. At such an advanced age, Akins doesn't have much long-term upside, but he could have an opportunity in a pass-catching role immediately in 2018 with C.J. Fiedorowicz announcing his retirement. Still, Houston has Ryan Griffin and Stephen Anderson, too, making it unlikely that Akins carves out any redraft value. He isn't one to target in dynasty leagues, either, because of his age.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
