Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard will be in the net for the Red Wings on Tuesday night against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Jared Coreau was originally scheduled to start, but he will be held out of Tuesday’s game while he is dealing with the flu. Howard has played great as of late, winning each of his last three starts and recording his first shutout of the year, but Columbus is one of the hottest teams in the league right now. The Blue Jackets have won eight of their last 10 games, thanks in no small part to an offense that has scored 4.3 goals per game in that time. Meanwhile, the Red Wings have only scored 2.7 goals per game over their last 10 games. Howard is not a recommended start Tuesday and with eight other games going, there should be plenty of better options available.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
