Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Frederick Andersen will start Wednesday night against the Florida Panthers. It will be Andersen’s fifth straight start, and he is stuck in a stretch of uncharacteristically mediocre play. In the four games since returning from injury, Andersen has allowed 12 goals and posted a below-average save percentage of .898. Toronto will likely need him to play closer to his early-season form if they are going to beat Florida, who have registered the most shots on goal in March and are scoring 3.36 goals per game this month. Toronto nearly has their playoff spot clinched, and Andersen has played the second most games in net in the league (62), so look for backup Curtis McElhinney to get more starts as the season draws to a close.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBallerRead More News
