DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (12/27/16): NBA DFS Advice

We have a small four game slate for tonight, so options are limited at each position. But with that said, there are still some good options on the board. This could be a good night to play it safe and go for some cash games to boost your bankroll going into the new year. So sit back, read up, and let's win some contests!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/27/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

Editor's Note: New users that sign up on FantasyAces, make a $20 deposit, and enter any game will receive BOTH our full season NBA and NFL Premium Passes for free, a $119.99 value. DraftKings DFS Guards

Goran Dragic - PG, vs OKC ($7,100)

Dragic is a great cash option for tonight. It is a small slate, so the options are limited at each position, and Dragic falls right in that mid price range for guards and he shouldn't be over looked. He has three straight games of 31 DraftKings points or more. Now, this isn't as high as he was hitting earlier in the month, but he has the potential to get to the 40 point level, and with his match up tonight vs the Thunder, he is a good spot. The Thunder are giving up 48 DraftKings points per game to point guards, so this is a really nice spot for Dragic to bounce back. Miami is one of the better defensive teams in the league, and normally their games are a bit slower paced and the over/under isn't too high. But with the Thunder heading to South Beach, this one should be up and down, which leaves plenty of extra opportunity for Dragic to hit that 40 points.

Wesley Matthews - SG, vs HOU ($5,400)

Matthews is a cheaper option for cash games since he doesn't have the upside you would need in a GPP. The Mavericks are up against the Rockets tonight, and Matthews should be seeing James Harden on the defensive end, who is notorious for being a bad defender. Matthews will give you a bit of salary relief on tonight's smaller slate to be able to fit the players you need in your lineup, since there are just fewer options at every position. Matthews has scored 31 or more points in two straight games, which is very good considering his price point. Also, his match up against the Rockets is very favorable, since they give up 42 DraftKings points per game to shooting guards, which is good for sixth worst in the league.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Gordon Hayward - SF, @ LAL ($8,000)

Hayward is the highest priced forward on the board tonight and he is in a good spot to hit or exceed value for you. I know he hasn't been super consistent lately, with games of 11 and 34 points in two of his last three, but he is in a bounce back spot vs the Lakers. The Lakers are second worst in the league at guarding small forwards, giving up 44 points per game. Hayward is coming off of a few days rest, and with this very favorable match up, I see this as a spot for him to get out of this small slump he is in and break through the 40-45 point barrier. I see him as a cash or GPP option for tonight. If he hits his season average for DraftKings points, which is 37, he will be worth the price. But the match up vs the Lakers has the upside you need for a GPP.

James Johnson - PF, vs OKC ($4,600)

This spotlight may be off the board for some, but James Johnson is a fantasy stud right now for his price. He is cheap and he is putting up really solid numbers of late. In his last three games, he has scored 29, 40, and 31 points. Those are some really solid numbers and he gives you a bit of salary relief to go along with it. He is a great cash option, since the points per dollar ratio is really strong. His point floor is around 20-25 DraftKings points, and as long as he gets to that, the value will be there. He is also up against the Thunder who are giving up 41 points per game to power forwards.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Marc Gasol - C, @ BOS ($7,200)

Gasol is one of the better options tonight on the whole board, and he isn't super expensive. Gasol has scored 44 DraftKings points or more in two of his last three games, and with his match up tonight vs the Celtics, he should be right near that level of production. The Celtics are giving up 51 points per game to centers which is seventh worst in the league. I see Gasol as a cash or GPP option, since he has the solid floor you need for a cash roster, but the double double potential and favorable match up, which is great for GPPs.

Also consider Montrezl Harrell for some savings at center. But he is a strictly a cash option.
