FanDuel CFB DFS Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football Advice for 11/14

Daily Fantasy College Football: FanDuel Picks for 11/14

Before we dive into picks at each position, let's see what we can gather from Vegas lines. Games with incredibly high over/unders are (almost) always appealing. There are fifteen games in this slate and five have over/unders in a range I'd consider above average to high. Kansas State at Texas Tech and Kansas at TCU are above 70 and Miami at UNC, SMU at Navy, and Oklahoma State at Iowa State are all in the low-to-mid sixties.

Personally, I like chasing games with high totals even more so when they feature a low spread. That's riding the train of thought that if there's no blowout, both teams will be shooting for the end zone for 48 minutes. This can certainly backfire if the defenses figure things out, but in the cases of Kansas State at Texas Tech and Miami at UNC - the only two games with overs above 60 and spreads less than two scores - I don't think we have to worry too much about defense.

FanDuel CFB DFS Quarterback Picks

Patrick Mahomes (QB, TTech) - $9,300

Mahomes' price has finally fallen back to earth after a less than stellar performance against West Virginia. He still managed just a fraction under 27 FanDuel points in the outing, but it wasn't the Mahomes-ian performance you were looking for if you paid up for him. This week, his matchup is pretty juicy in the game with the highest over/under and a spread of only 5.5 points. Kansas State is no slouch on defense, but I think the sheer volume of throws Mahomes should make along with the fast tempo this game will be played at makes him a solid play to exceed his value and produce 30+ points.

Joe Hubener (QB, Kansas State) - $6,200

Hubener tops my list of sleeper quarterback plays this weekend to roster in tournaments. He checks off quite a few boxes for me. For starters, he's a dual-threat guy who runs an offense at a fast pace and has only really been slowed down by monster defenses. If you take a look at his stats when he wasn't facing the top competition in the Big 12, you'll see he's capable of ripping off some big numbers. This weekend, he faces an atrocious Red Raider defense that he should have little trouble carving up.

FanDuel CFB DFS Running Back Picks

There is an absolute bevy of strong running backs you could roster in GPP's this weekend. I'm not that interested in the household name backs with big price tags, as the majority of the backs I've listed below will receive a bulk load of carries, face inferior rush defenses and are all playing in games with fairly high projected point totals.

Chris Swain (RB, Navy) - $6,100

Navy is completely and utterly committed to the run, and this weekend they face off against SMU. Why is this significant for Chris Swain and Co? SMU just so happens to be ranked 125th against the run this season. Swain is priced incredibly low for someone with such a high floor in a game where Navy is projected to reach the end zone at least four times.

Wayne Gallman (RB, Clemson) $7,200

After a few contests in early and mid-October where Gallman only received 15 or so carries, he's recently become a more featured component of the Clemson offense. In the past three weeks he's had games with 22-31-22 carries respectively, eclipsing the 100 yard mark and finding the end zone in each. This weekend, he has a cakewalk of a matchup and the only thing that scares me from having too many Gallman shares is the fact the game could turn ugly fairly quickly, as the Tigers are favored by 27.5 points.

Below I've got two less popular backs with favorable matchups, solid floors and they happen to come at a price low enough that you can roster some studs elsewhere. I don't know that I'd necessarily call them sleepers, but I haven't heard or read much chatter about these two this week.

FanDuel CFB DFS Wide Receiver Picks

Jakeem Grant (WR, TTech) - $7,400

Like Mahomes, Grant is coming off a game where he was a bit disappointing, recording just 9 points on FanDuel on five receptions. As the feature receiver in a pass-heavy offense and a reduced price, I really like his chances to exceed his value and then some.

Will Fuller (WR, Notre Dame) - $7,300

Fuller is one of my favorite home run threats to roster in GPP formats. He's one of big play receivers that doesn't require a high volume of targets or catches to reach/exceed his value but he gets a ton of looks in his direction from Kizer nonetheless. The game could turn ugly quickly, but with running back CJ Prosise's status in question and opponent Wake Forest's pass defense being much weaker than their run defense, I think Fuller makes for a fine, big upside play.

As I did above with the running backs, I wanted to try and find two "sleepers" at wide receiver. These two have produced big time fantasy point totals before, have home run threat written all over them, and face off against pass defenses that haven't slowed down anyone yet.

FanDuel CFB DFS Tight End Picks

Jake Butt (TE, Michigan) - $3,300

I'm going back to the well again with Butt, despite the fact that he burnt me a few weeks ago against the Spartans. Butt has a nice floor as he normally sees five or more targets a game, has great hands, and is always a threat in the red zone. On Saturday, he matches up incredibly well with a porous Indiana secondary.

FanDuel CFB DFS Stack Picks

Deshone Kizer (QB, ND) - $9,300 & Will Fuller (WR, ND) - $7,300
