FanDuel CFB DFS Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football Advice for 10/10

Daily Fantasy College Football: FanDuel Picks for 10/10

Based on the predictions I've seen and the lines published from Vegas oddsmakers, we may not have the offensive fireworks this Saturday that we've seen these last two weeks. There are, however, quite a few prolific offenses in this 15-game noon slate.

A few of the games - four, to be exact - actually feature over/unders of 72+ points. Those games are Baylor at Kansas (77), Umass at Bowling Green (79), Iowa State at Texas Tech (75) and Oregon State at Arizona (72). For the most part, I'll be targeting guys from these matchups, which I'll outline below. I'll also try to throw in a few cheap sleepers so you can get your fair share of high-profile studs in your lineups.

Let's get to it, shall we?

FanDuel CFB DFS Quarterback Picks

I'm doing my best to point out guys with high upside that you likely won't see touted on other sites, and therefore won't be incredibly chalky picks. That said, it's a disservice (or miscommunication on my part) if I don't tell you that Seth Russell and Matt Johnson are very strong plays with good matchups this weekend.

Baker Mayfield (QB, Oklahoma) - $8,900

With Jerrod Heard flailing (perhaps he was a one-game wonder?) and Greg Ward, Jr. having already played on Thursday, Mayfield is my go-to dual-threat quarterback. While he didn't get it done on the ground last week, he also didn't need to, as his team cruised to a 20-point victory over the Mountaineers. He was impressive in the passing game, though, totaling 320 yards and three touchdowns on just 25 attempts. Saturday, he faces a Texas defense that looks lost on the field and hasn't shown they can slow down anyone. The Longhorns are currently ranked 75th in Football Outsiders S&P+ defensive rankings. There will be no love lost in this Red River Rivalry game, and I think Coach Stoops and the offense will be full throttle throughout the afternoon.

Blake Frohnapfel (QB, UMASS) - $6,900

There's a good reason everyone is talking about and targeting Bowling Green quarterback Matt Johnson this Saturday, as he leads the nation in passing yards and is a very talented veteran. However, I think there's a whole lot of value to be had in his counterpart, Blake Frohnapfel, especially at a price below 7K. There are quite a few reasons to consider rostering Mr. Frohnapfel this weekend: UMASS is a very pass-happy offense, he has an elite receiver to throw to in Tajae Sharpe, and they face a Bowling Green secondary that is well below average in defending the pass. The pace of this game should give Blake and the Minutemen offense plenty of opportunities to score, too.

FanDuel CFB DFS Running Back Picks

Shock Linwood (RB, Baylor) - $8,100

Save for the SMU game where he wasn't much needed (eight carries, 75 yards), Shock has been an incredibly consistent, high-scoring back this season. He's coming off a game in which he produced a career high 221 rushing yards on just 21 carries. The even better news? He and the Bears are facing an even easier foe in Lawrence this weekend against the Jayhawks. Kansas currently ranks 123rd in the S&P+ defensive ranks, and they struggle with stopping the run more so than the through the air. I'm expecting Linwood to easily eclipse 150 yards on Saturday.

Mike Warren (RB, Iowa State) - $6,200

After sharing the bulk of the running game responsibilities earlier in the season, Warren, a freshman, has risen to number one on the depth chart. In the past two weeks, he's easily eclipsed 100 yards rushing and has a great opportunity for that and more against Texas Tech in what should be a fast paced, high scoring affair.

FanDuel CFB DFS Wide Receiver Picks

Tajae Sharpe (WR, UMASS) - $6,800

Sharpe came into the season with a "pre-season All-American" billing from a few pundits, analysts and experts. Thus far, he's lived up to that and then some. In three of the past four weekends, he's gone for 10+ catches and 130 yards. The lone contest in which he fell short was against a staunch Notre Dame defense. I like Sharpe a lot this weekend against a below average Bowling Green defense that struggles to defend the pass. He and Frohnapfel also form a pretty formidable stack, too.

Jay Lee (WR, Baylor) - $6,200

By now, everyone knows Baylor wide receiver Corey Coleman's name, and they should. Coleman has been incredible, but he comes with an almost unaffordable price tag as the most expensive receiver on the board. Allow me to introduce you to Jay Lee, home run-hitting deep threat. Baylor faces a very soft pass defense in Lawrence this weekend, and I think that Lee could benefit as much as Coleman does, with a better chance of outperforming his expected value.

Roger Lewis (WR, BGSU) - $8,200

Though I am shying away from Matt Johnson because of his price tag, I certainly want shares of playmakers from the Bowling Green offense. Lewis has been an absolute stud this season, and he is most certainly Johnson's favorite target at wideout. He currently leads the nation in receiving yards with 760 on 40 receptions, good for a 19 yards per catch average.

FanDuel CFB DFS Tight End Picks

Dan Vitale (TE, Northwestern) - $3,300

I'm breaking my own rules here a bit in going with a player in a game with a low, low over/under in what should mainly be a defensive-led contest. That said, it's tough to find value in tight ends, as their production is so volatile. Vitale, on the other hand, has produced fairly consistently this season with 15 catches, 196 yards and two touchdowns. Look for Northwestern to get Vitale involved Saturday afternoon, especially in the red zone against a tough run defense.

Honorable Mention: Jake Butt (TE, Michigan) - $3,300
