Running Back (RB) Rankings Analysis

By Edward Gorelik (@EdwardGorelik)

Ameer Abdullah sees the highest boost for me in PPR because he'll be immediately thrust into the Reggie Bush role for the Lions.

I still believe he'll be able to take over full-time by the end of the season as long as he can keep his fumbles under control, but even without that happening his floor on an offense that's going to be able to give him tons of underneath space to catch and run should be very high.

Bishop Sankey is also higher for me in PPR (especially compared to the other rankers) entirely because of him being the only 3-down caliber back on the Titans.
I'm aware that Sankey is a mediocre player, but he's still the starter coming into the season and Whinsehunt's history doesn't point towards starting a rookie over him, or letting a rookie take the main carries over him (so slow down the David Cobb hype). Sankey has to lose the job first but even when he does, he'll still be the pass catching RB for the team.
