ANALYSIS: Following the expulsion of J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert from Madison Square Garden, guys like Aldrich must be given extra consideration when scanning over the waiver. Throw in the departure of Samuel Dalembert and the former Kansas Jayhawk has serious potential to produce as one of the few Knick bigmen still left in the picture. Since being named starter on December 18th, Aldrich has been averaging 25.8 minutes a game while putting up 10.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks. Throw in some very good efficiency ratings during that span - .535 FG%, .687 FT% and we seem to have a winner. With a slew of injuries and the typical chaos that surrounds the New York organization at the moment, they have nothing to lose by playing Aldrich more. That means you have nothing to lose by taking a flyer on this center.
