Kevin Jennings Looks "Great" in Return to Practice
SMU quarterback Kevin Jennings (finger) resumed throwing on Wednesday and "looked great," according to On3's sources. The senior threw four straight touchdowns in seven-on-seven drills and showed no lingering effects from his jammed index finger on his throwing hand. SMU expects him to be fully ready for the season-opening game against Florida State on Monday, September 7. The Noles are looking to bounce back from another rough showing in 2025, while SMU is vying to return to the ACC title game and the College Football Playoffs. The ACC foes will square off in a standalone primetime game on ESPN, and it feels like a lot is riding on this matchup for such an early-season showdown. Jennings is expected to be one of the top quarterbacks in the country during his final collegiate season.
