Colston Loveland 2026 Outlook: Wheels Up For The Second-Year Tight End
It took some time - nine weeks to be exact - for Colston Loveland to make an impact, but his 6-118-2 stat line against the Bengals was only the start of things to come. In a season in which the 2025 10th-overall pick had to overtake incumbent starter Cole Kmet and compete with a trio of talented wide receivers for targets, Loveland still finished his debut campaign with 58-713-6. It was in the most high-profile games, late in the season and in the postseason, when Loveland emerged as one of the league's best young tight ends. Loveland outtargeted Kmet 48 to 11 in the final four games of Chicago's season and topped 90 yards in three of those. When Loveland, Rome Odunze, and Luther Burden III, the new top weapons in Chicago following DJ Moore's trade to Buffalo, were on the field together, the tight end commanded a 33% target rate. Loveland is now ranked as a top-five tight end, with the fantasy football community wondering how high he can fly.
