Impact Fantasy Baseball Prospects To Know - Bubba Chandler, Colt Emerson, Harry Ford, Parker Messick, Owen Caissie, Thomas White

Bubba Chandler - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Pitcher Prospects

2026 fantasy baseball prospects that can make big impacts - Bubba Chandler, Colt Emerson, Harry Ford, Parker Messick, Owen Caissie, Thomas White. Target these top prospects in 2026 fantasy baseball drafts.

Targeting high-upside prospects can provide your fantasy team with a league-winning lottery ticket. Managers who stashed players like Nick Kurtz or picked up pitchers like Noah Cameron or Logan Henderson added high-end value when to their fantasy teams they reached the major leagues.

In this piece, we will spotlight six budding prospects who are expected to have a major role in the MLB this summer.

Who are six high-upside prospects managers should keep on their radar heading into draft season? Let's dive in!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball draft tools and resources:

Bubba Chandler, SP, Pittsburgh Pirates

Current Level: MLB
2025 MLB stats: 31 2/3 IP, 4.02 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, 31 SO, 4 BB

Pittsburgh Pirates pitching prospect Bubba Chandler has seen his fantasy stock rise following his strong conclusion to the season, as he appears poised for a breakout campaign in 2026. Chandler made his MLB debut with the Pirates in late August of 2025. Through his first 31 1/3 innings in the big leagues, the right-hander posted a modest 4.01 ERA with a stellar 0.93 WHIP. However, his ERA is significantly inflated due to the nine-run outing on September 7.

Removing this one fluke outing, the 23-year-old would have instead carried a dominant 1.57 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and a 28:1 K:BB across 28 2/3 innings in the big leagues. While Chandler struggled at times at Triple-A before his promotion, once he reached Pittsburgh, the top prospect looked like his typical self. Seeing that he showed elite command and above-average strikeout upside, Chandler could enjoy an impressive first full season in the big leagues and is worth viewing as an SP3/SP4 with upside.

Colt Emerson, INF, Seattle Mariners

Current Level: Triple-A
2025 MiLB stats: 130 G, .285/.383/. 458, 28 2B, 16 HR, 14 SB

Seattle Mariners infield prospect Colt Emerson has earned an invite to big-league spring training. Emerson is currently viewed as the top prospect in the Seattle system on MLB.com and the No. 9-ranked overall prospect in the sport. Emerson joined the Mariners with the 22nd overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft out of John Glenn HS. Last summer, Emerson began the season with High-A Everett but finished it at Triple-A.

Through 90 games at High-A, Emerson posted a .281/.388/.453 slash line with 16 doubles, 11 home runs, and six stolen bases. Through 40 games shared between Double-A and Triple-A, Emerson held a .293/.372/.470 line. Managers should closely monitor his progress during camp as he could be in the mix to crack the Opening Day roster.

Harry Ford, C, Washington Nationals

Current Level: MLB
2025 MiLB stats: 97 G, .283/.408/.460, 18 2B, 16 HR, 7 SB

Washington Nationals catching prospect Harry Ford is expected to compete alongside Keibert Ruiz for the starting catcher role in spring training. The Nationals acquired Ford from the Mariners earlier this offseason. Ford is currently viewed as the No. 42-ranked prospect in the sport on MLB.com and one of the top young backstops. Last summer, Ruiz struggled at the plate, holding a modest .247/.277/.318 slash line across a short 68-game stint.

Ford spent the majority of the campaign with Triple-A Tacoma, where he carried a .283/.408/.460 slash line with 18 doubles, 16 home runs, and seven stolen bases. He showed an elite eye at the plate, posting an 88:74 K:BB. Even though Ford has only eight games of MLB experience, he is in serious consideration to see the majority of time behind the dish in D.C. He is a name to closely monitor in camp, as he would carry high-end sleeper appeal in two-catcher leagues.

Parker Messick, SP, Cleveland Guardians

Current Level: MLB
2025 MLB stats: 39 2/3 IP, 2.72 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 38 SO, 6 BB

Cleveland Guardians left-handed pitcher Parker Messick is a name to monitor during spring training. Messick made his MLB debut last season and looked quite comfortable at the MLB level. Across his first 39 2/3 innings in Cleveland, Messick held a 2.72 ERA with a 1.38 WHIP. He struck out 38 batters while generating an elite 3.6% walk rate and a 29.8% hard-hit rate. He spent the majority of his campaign with Triple-A Columbus.

Through 98 2/3 innings with the Clippers, Messick posted a 3.47 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP. During this stretch, the southpaw racked up 119 punchouts with 42 free passes. Currently, Messick is expected to compete for the No. 5 role in camp alongside Joey Cantillo and Slade Cecconi. While Messick may not have the same track record, he has shown significant upside in the minors and is worth closely monitoring in spring training.

Owen Caissie, OF, Miami Marlins

Current Level: MLB
2025 MiLB stats: 99 G, .286/.386/.551, 28 2B, 22 HR, 5 SB

According to Kevin Barral of FishOnFirst.com, outfield prospect Owen Caissie will "very likely" crack the Opening Day roster and serve as a primary right fielder. The Marlins acquired Caissie from the Cubs as the top asset in the trade that shipped right-handed pitcher Edward Cabrera to Chicago. While Caissie was already expected to compete for an everyday role in Miami, this report confirms that Caissie appears ticketed for a large role at the start of the season.

The former 45th overall pick made his MLB debut last season with the Cubs and hit one home run with a .192/.222/.346 line across 12 games. At Triple-A, Caissie flashed immense upside, posting a .286/.386/.551 slash line with 28 doubles and 22 home runs. If he can claim the starting job in right field, Caissie would have intriguing sleeper appeal in five-outfielder formats.

Thomas White, SP, Miami Marlins

Current Level: Double-A
2025 MiLB stats: 89 2/3 IP, 2.31 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 145 SO, 51 BB

Miami Marlins left-hander Thomas White, the consensus top prospect in the organization, is expected to be called up later in the 2026 season, according to Kevin Barral of Fish on First. Across three minor-league levels last year, White had a 2.31 ERA, 2.27 FIP, 14.55 K/9, and a 5.12 BB/9 in 89 2/3 innings pitched. The 21-year-old southpaw needs to improve both his command and control, though, and he'll be working to show that to the Fish during spring training.

The 6-foot-5, 240-pounder needs more innings under his belt before Miami will trust throwing him into the fire in their MLB starting rotation, as he's made just two starts at the Triple-A level. Besides his shaky control, White has the obvious makings of a front-line starting pitcher for fantasy managers, who should already be stashing him in dynasty/keeper leagues. He's MLB Pipeline's No. 17 overall prospect going into the 2026 season.
