Week 16 NFL Weather Report - Fantasy Football Lineup Impacts

Matthew Stafford - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Kipp's Week 16 NFL weather report for fantasy football (2025). He looks at NFL game weather forecasts to help make key fantasy football start/sit decisions.

Hello everyone, and welcome back to our Week 16 fantasy football weather report for the 2025 NFL season! The first few months of the season brought us very few weather concerns, but now that the winter months of December and January have arrived, it is time to ramp up this session again. I will be here every week through the Super Bowl to discuss the weather forecasts for every NFL game, where appropriate. This is an article that is near and dear to my heart, as I am always looking for a weather edge where I can find one.

We will rely on the most accurate and up-to-date weather forecasts for each stadium from AccuWeather, a source that provides comprehensive weather maps. Factors such as temperature, precipitation, wind speed/direction, and visibility can play a crucial role in shaping game outcomes and statistics.

Our goal with this article is to help you make informed decisions for your fantasy teams and other betting activities, enabling you to capitalize on opportunities or navigate the challenges posed by weather dynamics. Additionally, I hope to be able to update the article at least once each weekend before games kick off. Here is your comprehensive fantasy football weather report for Week 16 of the 2025 season.

Dome Games (No Weather Impact)

Some games in Week 16 will benefit from being played in domed stadiums, where the weather won't affect the outcome. These indoor venues provide a consistent environment.

  • Los Angeles Chargers @ Dallas Cowboys (Sunday Early Slate)
  • New York Jets @ New Orleans Saints (Sunday Early Slate)
  • Atlanta Falcons @ Arizona Cardinals (Sunday Afternoon Slate)
  • Pittsburgh Steelers @ Detroit Lions (Sunday Afternoon Slate)
  • Las Vegas Raiders @ Houston Texans (Sunday Afternoon Slate)
  • San Francisco 49ers @ Indianapolis Colts (Monday Night Slate)

Minimal Weather Impact

These outdoor games in Week 16 don't appear to have very many weather concerns.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Washington Commanders (Saturday Afternoon Slate)

We have an NFC East matchup taking place in Landover, Md., when the Eagles travel to Northwest Stadium to take on the Commanders. Thankfully, the weather should not be of much concern in this one.

AccuWeather has temperatures listed in the mid-50s under partly sunny skies. Additionally, sustained winds are expected to be around 10 mph, with the potential of 20 mph gusts. The gusts are getting close to the level where I might have some concern, but not just yet, as 25 mph would be that threshold.

Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears (Saturday Night Slate)

The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears will square off for the second time in three weeks, only this time the game will take place at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill.

While temperatures will be in the mid-20s, it is expected to be rather sunny with minimal wind effects. Overall, sustained winds are expected to be around 7 mph with gusts closer to 17 mph. Aside from the cold, there is not much concern with this game.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers (Sunday Early Slate)

We have a massive NFC South matchup with division implications on the line when the Bucs travel to Charlotte, N.C., to take on the Panthers at Bank of America Stadium. The weather for this is likely some of the best on the slate, as temperatures will be in the mid-60s under mostly sunny skies.

Winds will also be mild, with sustained winds projected to be 7 mph and gusts coming in around 16 mph. Start your studs in this one.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Tennessee Titans (Sunday Early Slate)

We have a lackluster game taking place at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., when the Chiefs travel to take on the Titans. The weather for this game is expected to be pretty solid, with temperatures expected to be in the mid-50s under mostly sunny skies.

Additionally, sustained winds are expected to be around 8 mph with gusts just north of 15 mph. Start your studs in this one as well.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Denver Broncos (Sunday Afternoon Slate)

We should have great weather in this AFC matchup when the Jaguars travel to Denver, Colo., to take on the Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium.

AccuWeather currently has temperatures listed in the lower 60s under partly sunny skies. Winds will be almost nonexistent, as sustained winds are projected to be around 1 mph with gusts sitting at just 2 mph.

Moderate Weather Impact

Let's take a look at some games where the weather is not quite severe, but could still have a moderate impact on the game. The forecasts provide some information on what types of skill players might be worth being more cautious with.

Los Angeles Rams @ Seattle Seahawks (Thursday Night Slate)

We are kicking Week 16 off with a stellar NFC West matchup when the Rams travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks at Lumen Field. It should come as no surprise that there is rain in the forecast for this one, as Seattle is known for its fair share of rainy weather.

Temperatures will be in the mid-40s with breezy and rainy conditions. Overall, sustained winds will be around 15 mph with gusts pushing 30 mph. Quite frankly, this is nasty weather that is not recommended for most players. I was already considering sitting Matthew Stafford against this Seahawks defense, and this weather will cement that decision.

You will still want to roll out Puka Nacua, as he is a solid safety valve who could be unaffected by the weather, but these conditions would have me off most other skill-position players.

Buffalo Bills @ Cleveland Browns (Sunday Early Slate)

I have a feeling that no matter where this game was being played, we would have some weather issues to contend with, and that is exactly the case when the Bills travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns this Sunday.

While temperatures will be somewhat mild for Cleveland in December, in the lower 30s, we will have some strong winds to contend with. Sustained winds are expected to be around 17 mph; however, gusts are projected to be close to 40 mph, which is a major red flag.

I would recommend sitting both kickers in this game, and it would be best to sit deep-threat targets such as Jerry Jeudy.

Minnesota Vikings @ New York Giants (Sunday Early Slate)

We have a ho-hum game taking place in East Rutherford, N.J., this Sunday when the Vikings travel to MetLife Stadium to take on the Giants. While temperatures will be in the mid-40s under mostly sunny skies, we do have some wind to contend with.

Currently, sustained winds are projected to be 13 mph, but gusts are going to be pushing 30 mph. I would not recommend streaming kickers in this game, and deep-threat targets like Darius Slayton would also be best left on the bench.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Miami Dolphins (Sunday Early Slate)

We have another lackluster matchup when the Bengals travel to Miami Gardens, Fla., to take on the Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday. While the weather will be pretty solid with temperatures in the lower 80s, we could see a couple of stray showers.

This is not atypical of a game played in Miami, and I do not think it will cause many issues in-game, but it is worth noting. Additionally, sustained winds will be around 6 mph with gusts just north of 15 mph.

New England Patriots @ Baltimore Ravens (Sunday Night Slate)

We have a massive AFC matchup when the Patriots travel to Baltimore, Md., to take on the Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday Night Football. The weather for this game should be somewhat decent, with temperatures in the upper 20s under clear skies; however, we do have some wind to contend with.

Current gusts are projected to push 30 mph, so sitting kickers in this game feels like a safe play.

Severe Weather Impact

There are currently no games scheduled in Week 16 with severe weather impacts or concerns.
