EPL DFS Goalies

Guglielmo Vicario - DK $4.6K || FD $10

Opponent - at Nottingham Forest

Guglielmo Vicario is coming off a big five-save performance en route to a 3-0 clean sheet win over SK Slavia Praha at midweek. He has now made 12 saves, conceded nine goals, and recorded two clean sheets in his last five appearances in all competitions.

Nottingham Forest is not a shot-volume offense, which will limit Vicario’s floor and ceiling. Nevertheless, due to Vicario’s salary, he can still maintain value. It also helps that the hosts have been held scoreless in three of their last five domestic home matches.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Emiliano Martínez (DK $5.6K || FD $12) at West Ham United
  • Aaron Ramsdale (DK $5.2K || FD $12) at Sunderland AFC

EPL DFS Forwards

Anthony Gordon - DK $5.8K || FD $19

Opponent - at Sunderland AFC

Is Nick Woltemade (DK $8.7K || FD $) about to become the next Bundesliga star to flop in the English Premier League? The German sensation, who was highly sought after during the Summer Transfer Window, continues to struggle with the Magpies. This has left the door open for players like Anthony Gordon to re-cement a spot in the starting XI, and he has done just that. Gordon has now produced three goals, one assist, nine shots, four chances created, 15 crosses, two corners, one tackle, and four clearances over his last five fixtures–three starts–in all competitions.

He now gets the arguably best matchup on the slate, at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland AFC, in Per 90 metrics against over their last five domestic fixtures, are the worst in Shots, Chances Created, and In-the-Box Shots; second-worst in Goals and Big Chances Created; and bottom-five in In-the-Box Goals and Penalty Area Defense. If the winger does not at least make value, it will be a massive failure in the eyes of many critics.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Erling Haaland (DK $10.7K || FD $25) at Crystal Palace FC
  • Ollie Watkins (DK $4.3K || FD $18) at West Ham United

EPL DFS Midfielders

Mohammed Kudus - DK $7.9K || FD $20

Opponent - at Nottingham Forest

Mohammed Kudus is the catalyst of Tottenham. All offense runs through him, unless the ball finds itself on the outer edges of the left side of the pitch. Otherwise, the ball inevitably finds him. He also takes the majority of set pieces for the visitors, providing him with an instant floor. Throughout his last five performances in all competitions, he has amassed two goals, one assist, six shots, seven chances created, 41 crosses, 18 corners, and five tackles.

Nottingham Forest has improved defensively in their last five games, but they are still averaging two goals against at home. Kudus is expected to maintain value and push for a ceiling performance in this matchup at City Ground.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Morgan Rogers (DK $6.4K || FD $17) at West Ham United
  • Sandro Tonali (DK $5.9K || FD $14) at Sunderland AFC

EPL DFS Defenders

Defenders

Matty Cash - DK $4.8K || FD $14

Opponent - at West Ham United

The value play of the slate is wingback Matty Cash. From a Per 90 against viewpoint, West Ham United is the worst club in the English Premier League, excluding Goals, Shots, Chances Created, and In-the-Box Shots. Across those four metrics, they rank second-worst. They are also the worst on the slate in Crosses Against.

In Matty Cash’s last five appearances in all competitions, he has produced one goal, one assist, five shots, five chances created, 19 crosses, nine corners, eight tackles, two interceptions, and 15 clearances. With both open-play value and set piece value, in a prime matchup, Cash is expected to push for a ceiling performance.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

  • Pedro Porro (DK $6.3K || FD $14) at Nottingham Forest
  • Tino Livramento (DK $4.6K || FD $11) at Sunderland AFC

Corner Takers

  • Crystal Palace FC: Yéremy Pino
  • Manchester City FC: Phil Foden/Rayan Cherki
  • Nottingham Forest: Elliot Anderson
  • Tottenham Hotspur: Mohammed Kudus/Pedro Porro
  • West Ham United: Jarrod Bowen/Mateus Fernandes
  • Aston Villa FC: Matty Cash
  • Sunderland AFC: Enzo Le Fée/Granit Xhaka
  • Newcastle United: Sandro Tonali

Thanks for reading The Kick-Off. Good luck in all of your contests today!
