Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 11:

Marcus Mariota, QB, Washington Commanders

Washington Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota has value as a potential streamer going up against the Miami Dolphins in Madrid, Spain, in Week 11. Mariota was solid on low passing volume in Washington's Week 10 loss to the Lions, completing 16 of 22 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns while adding five rushes for 22 yards on the ground.

The veteran finished as QB12 for the week with 18.7 fantasy points and should be in line for another productive game against a leaky Miami defense. Mariota will be without most of Washington's expected core of wide receivers, including Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Luke McCaffrey (shoulder), and the recently signed Treylon Burks (finger) has also been ruled out.

The 32-year-old Mariota is a viable streamer in a matchup that could wind up being a shootout with how poor Washington's defense has been lately.

Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Miami Dolphins

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa led his team to a big win over the Bills last week, and he's in a favorable matchup this week against the Commanders in the early Sunday morning game from Madrid. Tua finished with 173 passing yards, two touchdowns, and still threw two interceptions.

He has 17 touchdowns and 13 picks this year and has averaged 195 passing yards per game. Despite his struggles, he does have a good matchup against the Commanders, who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.

Tagovailoa is the QB23 in RotoBaller's rankings this week, making him a usable play in deep or two-quarterback leagues. However, he's still not a great starting play even with a little bit of recent success.

Deebo Samuel Sr., WR, Washington Commanders

Washington Commanders wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. hasn't been as productive in recent weeks after a strong first five games of the season. Samuel recorded 30 receptions for 300 yards and three touchdowns along with seven carries for 46 yards and another touchdown over the first five weeks, ranking as the WR7 in total PPR points (88.6).

Since then, Samuel has just 16 catches for 96 yards and one touchdown on 22 targets and three carries for three yards in four games, ranking as the WR56 in that span.

The veteran wideout should still be in line for a busy day on Sunday against a vulnerable Miami Dolphins defense, with most of Washington's wide receivers banged up. Samuel ranks as RotoBaller's WR20 for the first-ever NFL game in Madrid, Spain.

Zach Ertz, TE, Washington Commanders

Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz has still been a useful player for fantasy leagues in his age-35 season, recording 35 catches for 345 yards and four touchdowns on 49 targets. Ertz has four catches in each of his past four games and made a few impressive contested grabs in Washington's Week 10 loss to the Lions.

The veteran doesn't present much fantasy upside at this stage of his career, but he's always a threat to score a touchdown as Washington's offense has stayed relatively efficient with Marcus Mariota filling in for an injured Jayden Daniels (elbow).

Ertz hasn't scored in the past three games, but gets an enticing matchup against the Miami Dolphins defense that has allowed the third most PPR points per game to opposing tight ends. Ertz ranks as RotoBaller's TE12 for Sunday's matchup in Madrid, Spain.

Malik Washington, WR, Miami Dolphins

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington found the end zone for the second time in the last three weeks on Sunday against the Bills, and he caught multiple passes for the eighth week in a row. He has a good matchup against the Commanders this week, but his yardage totals have been underwhelming in the Dolphins' conservative passing scheme.

While Washington has 30 catches, he only has 192 yards this year, and last week, he only had nine yards on his two catches. He saved his fantasy week with a touchdown against the Bills, but this week he's the No. 52 wide receiver in RotoBaller's rankings, even against the Commanders, who give up the third-most fantasy points to receivers.

The Dolphins haven't given him many chances for big plays, although his volume of targets and catches does make him a deep league option to monitor.

If someone is out for the week, they will not appear in the search results.

Scoring Formats. Fantasy football managers play in various types of leagues, and this tool allows you to choose whether it's PPR scoring, Half-PPR scoring, or Standard (Non-PPR) scoring. The second thing you want to do, is to select the scoring format. There are three small radio buttons (small circle), so click on the scoring format you prefer. The results may vary based on the scoring format you select.
