Simon Nemec Becomes Hat-Trick Hero Wednesday
New Jersey Devils defenseman Simon Nemec popped up with a hat trick in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime triumph against the Chicago Blackhawks. He became only the eighth defenseman in history to cap a regular-season hat trick with an overtime goal. Nemec has now scored four goals in the last two games after failing to net any during the entire campaign so far. He has added eight assists to his tally in 17 games, while averaging close to 1.6 blocks per game. The Slovakian blue-liner is benefiting from the absences of Dougie Hamilton (lower body) and Brett Pesce (upper body), making him a viable fantasy option.
