Scott Laughton Set for Season Debut Wednesday
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Scott Laughton (lower body) was activated from Injured Reserve on Wednesday and will make his season debut against the Utah Mammoth. Laughton's first outing of the campaign has been delayed due to a lower-body injury. On Wednesday, Laughton will have a fourth-line role. Laughton has tallied at least 30 points in four consecutive seasons, but he will likely fall short of the mark in 2025-26 if he doesn't move up in the lineup. The Maple Leafs reassigned Easton Cowan to the AHL on Wednesday to make room for Laughton on the roster. Steven Lorentz (upper body) is also ready to rejoin Toronto's frontline on Wednesday, pushing Calle Jarnkrok to the press box as a healthy scratch.
