Seth Jarvis Makes Early Exit Thursday
Carolina Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis sustained an apparent lower-body injury in Thursday's 6-2 win over the New York Islanders. He exited the action late in the third period after blocking a shot from Islanders forward Kyle Palmieri. Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour said postgame that it "doesn't look great" for Jarvis and that the team would have more information on Friday. The Hurricanes have lost several key defensemen to injury and could now also be missing a big piece of their offense. Jarvis leads his team with seven goals in 10 games and is tied with Sebastian Aho for most points with 11. Andrei Svechnikov, who has struggled so far this season, may return to a top-six role if Jarvis has to miss time.
