San Jose Sharks defenseman Shakir Mukhamadullin (upper body) landed on Injured Reserve Sunday. The 23-year-old hasn't played since San Jose's season opener on Oct. 9, and it looks like it might take a while until Mukhamadullin is ready for action. Mukhamadullin had two assists in his lone appearance this season. By placing Mukhamadullin on Injured Reserve, the Sharks were able to recall Luca Cagnoni from the minors. Cagnoni has starred in the AHL and could now get a big opportunity on the Sharks defense, as John Klingberg (lower body) and Timothy Liljegren are also troubled by health issues.--Taavi Pailk
