Dylan Samberg Ruled Out for 6-8 Weeks
Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dylan Samberg (wrist) will sit out the start of the 2025-26 NHL season. Jets head coach Scott Arinel announced Monday that Samberg will be sidelined for 6-8 weeks with a broken wrist. Samberg was injured on Saturday during a preseason contest against the Calgary Flames from a hit by Flames forward Ryan Lomberg. Unfortunately, Samberg will miss a significant portion of the season for the second consecutive year. He broke his foot early in the previous season, playing in only 60 games. In the games he played, Samberg was very effective for the Jets, producing a plus-34 rating. He recorded 20 points (six goals, 14 assists), 95 shots, 120 blocks, and 56 hits.
