Pyotr Kochetkov Misses Thursday's Practice
Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov (undisclosed) wasn't available to practice on Thursday. According to Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour, Kochetkov "tweaked something" and will be held off the ice until he's 100 percent. Frederik Andersen's health issues have made Kochetkov an important piece for the Hurricanes. He has produced 20-plus wins in back-to-back years and had an impressive 27-16-3 record last season. Kochetkov posted two shutouts and finished with a 2.60 goals-against average and a .897 save percentage. Cayden Primeau will start the season alongside Andersen if Kochetkov isn't able to get healthy within the next couple of weeks.
