Martin Fehervary Cleared for Action
Washington Capitals defenseman Martin Fehervary (knee) practiced in a regular jersey on Tuesday and will be an option for Thursday's preseason game against the Philadelphia Flyers. Fehervary had knee surgery in April and skated in a non-contact jersey at the start of training camp for precautionary reasons. The Capitals gave Fehervary a seven-year, $42 million contract extension during the offseason, showing that the team values him highly. During his fourth full NHL campaign in 2024-25, Fehervary racked up 150 blocks and 139 hits, while picking up a career-high 25 points (five goals, 20 assists) in 81 games.
