Senior NFL insider Josina Anderson reports that former first overall pick and current free-agent pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney is in Dallas on Wednesday to meet with the Cowboys, per a league source. Clowney was released by the Panthers four months ago, and at 32 years old is likely looking to land a short-term deal with a contending team like the Cowboys. Last season with the Panthers, he recorded 5.5 sacks. Clowney has had a solid, albeit somewhat underwhelming, NFL career, accumulating 58 sacks, 108 tackles for loss, and 15 forced fumbles across 11 NFL seasons. The Cowboys recently traded All-Pro Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers, so it stands to reason that they may be looking for some defensive help.--Nicho Roessler
