Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Michael Kopech (knee) is likely to return on Tuesday in Pittsburgh, as the rosters expand to 28 players on September 1, and activating him would not require a transaction. Kopech has missed most of the 2025 season with a knee injury, having made only eight appearances and pitched seven innings in June. During those seven innings, he has been dominant, not allowing a run and striking out eight batters. The Dodgers' bullpen could use the help, as they have struggled a bit with injuries and production (4.13 ERA). With Kopech returning, it's unclear how manager Dave Roberts will deploy his bullpen with Blake Treinen, Tanner Scott, Kirby Yates, and Kopech healthy. Still, as the season plays on, Kopech will be a strong candidate to pitch in the highest leverage situations, making him a good option for leagues that prioritize saves and holds.--Nicho Roessler
