Buffalo Bills running back Frank Gore Jr. was one of the team's few bright spots in a 38-0 preseason loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday. The 5-foot-8, 195-pounder led the Bills in total yards (81) for the second week in a row, amassing 51 on eight carries and adding another 30 on four receptions. Unfortunately for Gore, there was one costly gaffe - a lost fumble late in the third quarter. With Buffalo finally marching toward Chicago's end zone, Gore had the ball punched out around the 10-yard line, killing the Bills' best drive of the night and keeping them off the scoreboard. Still, there's no denying that Gore has looked like a capable dual threat in both exhibition games this month. He piled up 71 yards (50 receiving, 21 rushing) in last week's loss to the New York Giants and now has 152 on 22 touches this preseason. Gore is still fighting an uphill battle to earn a roster spot, though, with fellow RBs James Cook, Ray Davis, and Ty Johnson locks to make the team. The 23-year-old Gore spent last season on Buffalo's practice squad and could open 2025 in the same position.--Connor Byrne
