Round 4 PGA DFS Showdown Picks - 2025 BMW Championship

Scottie Scheffler - PGA DFS Lineup Picks, Daily Fantasy Golf, Betting Picks

Todd McGill's Round 4 PGA DFS showdown slate picks for the 2025 BMW Championship. His top in-tournament DFS lineup picks and top plays for DraftKings and FanDuel.

There is one round between the eventual top 30 players and the season's Tour Championship. This week's BMW Championship at Caves Valley has drummed up quite the leaderboard, as Robert MacIntyre holds a four-stroke lead over Scottie Scheffler. With some still battling to find their way into one of the qualifying spots, tomorrow will be another day of meaningful golf throughout the leaderboard.

It's been a chore to find what exactly works around this property. However, putting well and hitting greens seems to be the largest contributor to scoring. MacIntyre is leading the field in strokes gained putting (+2.61) and ranks second in strokes gained on approach (+2.63). With all of the world-class talent waiting in the wings, it's not going to take much of a slip-up to make things interesting tomorrow.

Showdown, unlike typical golf DFS that spans the entire tournament, is a contest that focuses on each round as an individual event. Finding players performing well on approach is a good general rule. However, roster decisions that give you ownership leverage by taking riskier players who haven't played their best but present a high likelihood of a bounce-back round are also important. In other words, this is a sprint, not a marathon.

Weather, Course Conditions, and Tee Times

Caves Valley has proved to be a challenging test for much of the remaining 50 players in the FedEx Cup race; however, conditions intensified on Saturday and are expected to do so again tomorrow. It doesn't seem like the kind of place where coming from five-plus shots back will be possible, although coming back to the field can happen in one or two swings. It's undoubtfully MacIntyre's event to lose.

Round 4 Strategy

The mindset for final-round showdowns is not to pull any punches. A great starting point is to take guys who have a knack for hammering down the gas pedal on Sunday and have at least shown flashes of form over the first three rounds.

Remember that ownership levels will continuously drop the closer you get to the morning's first tee time, so finding the guys who will bounce back is paramount to winning big.

$10,000+

Favorite Play: Scottie Scheffler is in his familiar place again this week, vying for another win. If it weren't for a poor putting performance on Saturday, he'd likely be tied for or leading this thing heading into the final round. He's certainly the last person anyone wants on their heels, especially if he starts hot on the front nine like he has two of the first three days.

From a statistical perspective, Scheffler is the clear name that could make a run as he ranks top 10 on the week in every strokes gained metric and accuracy, both off the tee and on approach. This is beginning to sound like a broken record, but it hasn't been a bad bet to ride a strong Sunday showing from the best player in the world for at least two years; tomorrow isn't the time to start doubting.

Other Options: Ludvig Aberg

$9,000+

Favorite Play: Cameron Young has bounced back strong after a +4 over par, 74, to get into a tie for 11th with one round remaining. The approach play has taken the longest to get going, but he led the field in greens in regulation (88.9%) in round three and ranked second in strokes gained putting (+2.71) and fourth in strokes gained from tee to green (+3.04).

As someone with big Ryder Cup aspirations, tomorrow could be another point to prove for the 28-year-old in gaining a selection from captain Keegan Bradley.

Other Options: Russell Henley

$8,000+

Favorite Play: Sam Burns is one of a handful of names that could actually make things interesting tomorrow if the play he's demonstrated over the first three days sticks around for one more. He ranks second on the week in strokes gained putting (+2.37), fifth in greens in regulation (74.1%), and seventh in strokes gained off the tee (+0.55).

He's only made one bogey on the front nine through three rounds compared to seven birdies. If he can get something going before making the turn, he's a dangerous threat coming down the stretch.

Other Options: Robert MacIntyre, Harry Hall

$7,000+

Favorite Play: After starting with a double bogey on the first hole in Saturday's round, Corey Conners caught fire with seven birdies over his closing 14 holes en route to jumping into a T14 position heading into the final round. While ranking top 10 in driving accuracy (71.4%) and greens in regulation (68.5%), along with 12th in strokes gained putting (+0.75) and 14th in strokes gained on approach (+0.68), the third round was the first this week where the score was indicative of how well he played.

Look for the Canadian to keep the momentum going tomorrow before going to East Lake for a fifth career time.

Other Options: Harris English, Taylor Pendrith

$6,000+

Favorite Play: After an ugly first round, Jacob Bridgeman has fought back beautifully to keep hold of his top 30 spot on the FedEx Cup points list. He's gained +2.37 strokes on the greens and +3.90 strokes from tee to green over the last two days, and sitting at 27th coming into the week, he'll need another strong round on Sunday to punch his ticket to Atlanta.
