The final regular-season event of the 2025 PGA Tour season is nearly in the books. With one round remaining, important golf will be happening all day as players battle desperately to secure a spot inside the top 70 and earn their ticket to Memphis. Sedgefield has been a soft and easily getable course, though a little weather on Saturday did make scoring slightly more difficult. Making too many pars hurts a player's positioning here, so it's important to keep the foot on the gas pedal.
No one has done that better through the first three days than Cameron Young, who holds a commanding five-stroke advantage heading into the final round. The 28-year-old is decimating the field on the greens while also leading in strokes gained off the tee. With many close calls in the past, tomorrow looks like his day to finally break through, although there'll be plenty of guys hoping to spoil it if he starts to slip like we've seen in the past. Finding who will make a run at him tomorrow will be the biggest key to Showdown success.
Showdown, unlike typical golf DFS that spans the entire tournament, is a contest that focuses on each round as an individual event. Finding players performing well on approach is a good general rule. However, roster decisions that give you ownership leverage by taking riskier players who haven't played their best but present a high likelihood of a bounce-back round are also important. In other words, this is a sprint, not a marathon.

Weather, Course Conditions, and Tee Times
Seeing how the introduction of heavier winds and a little rain affected scores on Saturday, scores may continue to creep north tomorrow, especially for the later groups who will likely play the easier front side in the most testing part of the day. For as many guys that will be going for broke, looking further down the board than usual may not be a bad place to start.
Round 4 Strategy
The mindset for final-round showdowns is not to pull any punches. A great starting point is to take guys who have a knack for hammering down the gas pedal on Sunday and have at least shown flashes of form over the first three rounds.
Remember that ownership levels will continuously drop the closer you get to the morning's first tee time, so finding the guys who will bounce back is paramount to winning big.

Favorite Play: If you've watched any PGA Tour golf over the last little bit, then you know that Matt Fitzpatrick has been on an absolute tear as of late. He sits T7 heading into tomorrow and ranks eighth on the week in strokes gained putting (+1.82). He found his stride on Saturday, gaining +4.32 strokes putting and +1.36 strokes off the tee. If anyone can give the lead a scare, it's Matty Fitz.

Favorite Play: Adam Scott is on the outside looking in right now for next week in Memphis, as he currently sits 85th in the FedEx Cup points race. The veteran has had a good week statistically, even though his T36 placement on the leaderboard doesn't necessarily reflect it. He ranks fourth in the field in strokes gained off the tee (+1.02) and 13th in strokes gained tee to green (+1.88).
It is a real possibility that Scott presses things too far tomorrow. However, the opportunity to have a low-scoring player like this isn't one to pass up completely.

Favorite Play: Davis Thompson is a scary name to see on this leaderboard once you realize how poorly he putted on Saturday to only shoot -1 under par after hitting 17 of 18 greens. There is no one more accurate through three rounds from tee to green, as he ranks second in driving accuracy (81.0%) and third in greens in regulation (83.3%). If the putter decides to cooperate tomorrow, look for Thompson to make a real scare; something he desperately needs at 78th in the FedEx Cup.

Favorite Play: Perhaps the most "free-willed" player in the entire field, Jackson Koivun is living his best life before returning to Aurbun for his Junior season. He currently leads the field this week in driving accuracy (83.3%), fourth in strokes gained tee to green (+2.62), and fifth in strokes gained on approach (+1.61). The 20-year-old sits in solo sixth heading into the final round and has a great chance at a top 5 finish.

Favorite Play: David Lipsky has been resilient this week as he attempts to overcome his 88th spot in the FedEx Cup points list and sneak into the top 70 come Sunday evening. After a slow start, he's put together rounds of 67-66 over the last two rounds by gaining +3.84 strokes putting and +2.62 strokes from tee to green. Gaining enough ground to make it to Memphis is a tall task, but that's the sort of thing you want to see in a season finale, isn't it?
