The Arizona Diamondbacks are acquiring right-handed pitching prospect David Hagaman, and fellow pitching prospects Kohl Drake and Mitch Bratt from the Texas Rangers in exchange for starting pitcher Merrill Kelly. Hagaman was viewed as the No. 23-ranked prospect in the Texas system before the transaction. The Rangers selected the 22-year-old in the fourth round of last year's MLB Draft out of West Virginia. The right-hander made his professional debut earlier this season in the Arizona Complex League. Through seven innings of work, he allowed just one run with a perfect 12:0 K:BB. He was then bumped up to Low-A, where he tossed 15 1/3 innings to the tune of a 3.51 ERA and a 16:6 K:BB. Fantasy managers should expect Hagaman to remain with Low-A through most of the second half.--Andy Smith
