David Hagaman Moving to Arizona
Mitch Bratt from the Texas Rangers in exchange for starting pitcher Merrill Kelly. Hagaman was viewed as the No. 23-ranked prospect in the Texas system before the transaction. The Rangers selected the 22-year-old in the fourth round of last year's MLB Draft out of West Virginia. The right-hander made his professional debut earlier this season in the Arizona Complex League. Through seven innings of work, he allowed just one run with a perfect 12:0 K:BB. He was then bumped up to Low-A, where he tossed 15 1/3 innings to the tune of a 3.51 ERA and a 16:6 K:BB. Fantasy managers should expect Hagaman to remain with Low-A through most of the second half.
