Matthew Boyd Throws Seven Shutout Innings
Matthew Boyd was outstanding on the mound during Saturday's outing against the Baltimore Orioles. The O's hitters had no answers for Boyd as he tossed seven shutout innings, allowing four hits, and striking out eight batters in the no-decision. Sadly for Boyd, the Cubs bullpen blew the game in the eighth inning. Boyd has allowed zero earned runs in four of his last five starts. He'll take a 2.34 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and a 118/29 K/BB ratio into his next outing against the St. Louis Cardinals. Boyd should be rostered and started in all fantasy formats right now.
