MarShawn Lloyd Leaves Packers Practice with Injury
MarShawn Lloyd (undisclosed) "walked off gingerly with a trainer" after a collision in practice on Monday, according to Andy Herman of the Pack-A-Day Podcast. It's too soon to tell how serious this injury is, but it's an ominous sign for the second-year back. Drafted in the third round in 2024, Lloyd missed almost all of his rookie year due to hip, hamstring, ankle, and appendix issues. He entered camp this year competing with Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks for the backup job behind Josh Jacobs in Green Bay. Lloyd averaged 7.1 yards per rush attempt and scored nine touchdowns in his final college season at USC in 2023, but he hasn't gained much traction at the NFL level to date. An extended training camp absence would put him even further behind the eight ball entering his second season.
