Cardinals Adjust Rotation Heading into All-Star Break
Sonny Gray will get the ball in game one, with Andre Pallante and Miles Mikolas to follow in games two and three. Throwing Gray on Tuesday will set him up to make a second start later this week on Sunday against the Atlanta Braves. Left-hander Matthew Liberatore is scheduled to pitch against Atlanta on Friday, and righty Michael McGreevy is a candidate to start against Atlanta on Saturday. Notably, McGreevy starting game two of the Atlanta series would mean that St. Louis is skipping over veteran right-hander Erick Fedde. Fedde struggled his last time out against the Chicago Cubs on Sunday, throwing just 1 1/3 innings while allowing four walks and three earned runs.
