Detroit Red Wings right wing Patrick Kane will stay in Motown for another year after agreeing to a new $3 million contract. He could earn up to $7 million during the upcoming campaign, depending on bonuses. Kane played the 2024-25 season in Detroit on a one-year, $4 million deal. In 72 regular-season games, he scored 21 goals and 59 points, marking his best season in three years. Kane isn't the superstar he once was, but he can still make an impact on offense and aims to hit a few big milestones next season. The former MVP is eight goals away from 500 in his career and needs 49 assists to reach 900 career helpers.--Taavi Pailk
