Malik Washington 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Can He Earn More Roles Outside Of Special Teams?
Malik Washington didn't do much in his rookie season -- he caught just 26 passes for 223 yards and zero touchdowns, adding five carries for 25 yards and a score on the ground. He mostly played on special teams, where he was a pretty effective kick and punt returner. Perhaps he'll retain that role moving forward, which could limit the snaps he takes on offense. Still, he's not likely to be better than fifth in the team's receiving hierarchy. Wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, tight end Jonnu Smith, and running back De'Von Achane form a fearsome foursome that should retain their spots as the team's best pass-catchers, with Washington competing with the likes of WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine for a minor role. He should thus not be more than a deep dynasty league stash, and useful in exotic fantasy football leagues that include punt and kick return statistics in their scoring setups.
