Brandon Woodruff Throws Simulated Game on Monday
Brandon Woodruff (elbow) threw a 60-pitch simulated game on Monday, and his next step will be another minor-league rehab start of around 80 pitches, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Curt Hogg. The Brewers are still finalizing their plans, but after one more rehab start, the hope is that he'll be able to make his 2025 season debut. Woodruff threw a 40-pitch bullpen session last Thursday and is getting closer to his first MLB start following right-shoulder surgery that kept him out for all of 2024. The 32-year-old was close to rejoining the Brewers twice this year before dealing with right-ankle tendinitis and a right-elbow contusion after being hit by a comebacker. If Woodruff is somehow available in your fantasy league, pick him up immediately. He was a fantasy ace before shoulder surgery in October of 2023.
