Corbin Carroll Out for Series Finale
Corbin Carroll (hand) is not in the team's starting lineup for Thursday's series finale in Toronto against the Blue Jays. Randal Grichuk is starting in right field and will bat seventh against Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman. It's not much of a surprise that Carroll is out a day after leaving Wednesday's game with a left-hand contusion after he was hit by a pitch. Thankfully, X-rays came back negative for the 24-year-old former National League Rookie of the Year, and he should be considered day-to-day for now. Carroll reportedly tried to talk his way into the lineup on Thursday, which means there's a good chance he'll be back for Friday's series opener against the division-rival Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Although Grichuk has been better against righties in 2025, he won't be a recommended DFS play. He's hit .167 with a solo homer in six career at-bats against Gausman.
