Kyle Finnegan Blows Fifth Save Of Season Monday
Kyle Finnegan blew his fifth save of the season and took the loss in Monday's 6-4 game against the Rockies. Finnegan came in to pitch the top of the ninth inning up by one. He instantly blew the save on a game-tying home run. He got the first out on a fly-out, allowed a single, got the second out on a pop-out, allowed a go-ahead two-run HR, and got the final out on a groundout. It wasn't the 33-year-old's finest outing, but he has pitched well overall this season with 18 saves, a 3.12 ERA, a 1.31 WHIP, and a 7.27 K/9 rate in 26 innings of work. He currently has high job security, which makes him a fine fantasy option in at least all roto leagues.
