Seiya Suzuki Swats 17th Home Run
Seiya Suzuki cracked one of the club's two home runs in a 3-2 victory against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday. Suzuki went deep against left-hander Andrew Heaney in the bottom of the sixth inning for his 17th HR and 57th RBI of the season. He finished the evening 1-for-3 and is now slashing a strong .266/.325/.548 in 289 plate appearances. Suzuki averaged 20 homers and 73 RBI over the previous two seasons, but he's on pace to surpass those numbers with ease in 2025. The 30-year-old will face a difficult test Friday against Pirates star righty Paul Skenes. Suzuki is 3-for-11 with a homer, four strikeouts, and a walk against the ace.
