Kodai Senga Dealt No-Decision Despite Solid Outing
Kodai Senga allowed five hits and one earned run over six innings of work in Friday's 4-2 win against the Colorado Rockies. He struck out six and walked two but did not factor into the decision. Senga was undoubtedly deserving of a win, and nearly got one, too, as the Mets scored two runs in the seventh to take a 2-1 lead. However, reliever Huascar Brazoban would yield one run to knot it up in the bottom half of the inning. The 32-year-old has been phenomenal in his 12 starts, yet to allow more than three earned runs in any appearance and one or fewer in eight of them. He'll carry a terrific 1.59 ERA and 1.18 WHIP into his next outing -- a meeting with the visiting Washington Nationals next week.
