Harrison Bader Scratched With Sore Finger
Harrison Bader (finger) has been scratched from the lineup for Monday's series opener against the hosting Tampa Bay Rays with a sore finger, according to manager Rocco Baldelli. "I think he's gonna be fine," Baldelli said, while also stating that the Twins will be sure "he's good to go before we send him out there." Bader felt his finger on a swing on Sunday and not when he was hit by a pitch. DaShawn Keirsey Jr. will start in center field and bat ninth on Monday against Rays right-hander Zack Littell. Fantasy managers should consider Bader, who has been filling in in center field with Byron Buxton (concussion) on the injured list, day-to-day and check back to see if he's active on Tuesday. The 30-year-old has hit above .300 in May and has five homers, six doubles, 21 RBI, six steals and 18 runs scored in 46 games overall in his first year in Minnesota.
