Chicago Bears safety Kevin Byard, who signed a two-year deal with Chicago ahead of last season, said he "would love to be here long term, to finish my career with the Chicago Bears." Byard spent the first seven seasons of his NFL career with the Tennessee Titans before playing with the Titans, Bears and Philadelphia Eagles the last two years. The 31-year-old veteran defensive back said he hasn't had any talks with the Bears about a contract extension after he had a career-high 130 tackles (80 solo), two sacks, five tackles for loss, seven pass breakups, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in 17 starts with the team in 2024. The former third-rounder (64th overall) in 2016 out of Middle Tennessee State was a Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro for the Titans in his second season in 2017 and repeated the feat in 2021. Byard has had at least 108 combined tackles in each of the last four years.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
