Toronto Blue Jays right-handed pitching prospect Trey Yesavage struck out 10 batters in his High-A debut on May 20 against Eugene. He logged four innings of two-run ball. He allowed two hits and served up three walks. This was a promising debut, especially from a strikeout perspective. The No. 2-ranked prospect in the Toronto system opened the campaign with Low-A Dunedin, where he logged 33 1/3 innings to the tune of a 2.43 ERA and a stellar 0.81 WHIP. He struck out 55 batters and served up just eight free passes. The Blue Jays selected the 21-year-old with the 20th pick in last year's MLB Draft. Given his impressive start to his professional career, Yesavage could earn a taste of Double-A during the second half of the season.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerRead More News
