Adley Rutschman Getting a Breather on Monday
Adley Rutschman is retreating to the bench for Monday's series opener against the hosting Milwaukee Brewers. Maverick Handley will do the catching for right-hander Dean Kremer and will bat ninth against Brewers right-hander Quinn Priester. Like most of the Orioles players, Rutschman has been a massive disappointment in fantasy so far in 2025. The 27-year-old switch-hitting backstop is batting just .209 (32-for-153) with four home runs, 11 RBI and 18 runs scored. He's been even worse in May, going 10-for-54 (.185) with four doubles, a triple, two RBI, four runs, three walks and nine strikeouts in 15 games. Rutschman hasn't homered since April 20. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere at the catcher position in DFS than Handley, who has gone 1-for-14 with two RBI as a backup catcher in Baltimore this year.
