Lars Eller Plans to Continue Playing
Washington Capitals center Lars Eller turned 36 this month but has no plans to hang up his skates. "I'll definitely keep playing," Eller told Sammi Silber of the DC Backcheck. "My body feels good." Eller had a disappointing season and ended it as a healthy scratch for Washington during the playoffs. He posted 10 goals and 22 points in 80 games with the Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins, a significant drop from the 31 points Eller had the year before. Considering how his return to Washington turned out, it appears unlikely that we will see Eller suit up for the Capitals in 2024-25. However, the Danish veteran seems highly motivated to continue playing, with the Olympics on the horizon.
