Tarik Skubal's Next Start Pushed Back To Friday
Tarik Skubal's next start has been pushed back to Friday's series opener against the Texas Rangers after the team's game on Tuesday at Coors Field against the Colorado Rockies was postponed due to inclement weather. Rookie right-hander Jackson Jobe will now pitch on Wednesday, with Casey Mize pitching in Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Rockies on Thursday. Skubal will end up avoiding hitter-friendly Coors Field, but he'll actually get the tougher matchup in the Rangers this weekend. However, last year's American League Cy Young winner will still be a must-start in fantasy against a Texas offense that ranks 27th in the big leagues with a .643 OPS. The 28-year-old left-hander has been strong again in his seven starts in 2025, going 3-2 with a 2.21 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 48 strikeouts in 40 2/3 innings pitched.
