Pittsburgh Penguins center Thomas Novak (lower body) will remain out of the starting lineup on Friday evening when the Penguins host the Columbus Blue Jackets. Novak has begun skating but has not progressed enough to return to the starting lineup. Novak has missed the previous four contests with this injury. Novak was traded to Pittsburgh at the trade deadline from the Nashville Predators in the deal that sent Michael Bunting to Nashville. During his limited playing time with Pittsburgh, Novak did see time on the second offensive line alongside Evgeni Malkin and Philip Tomasino. Through 54 contests this season, the 27-year-old has found the back of the net 13 times and added nine helpers. Novak has added six hits with 26 blocked shots. While he remains out, Connor Dewar will likely remain on the second line.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerRead More News
